Change will occur in almost every aspect of our lives, but we can learn to embrace it while releasing the past with grace and move forward to all that awaits us.
Often we are hard on ourselves for the choices we make, and we feel like we are taking a step back, rather than moving forward in life.
When we find ourselves going through any kind of change our natural response may be to tense up on the physical, mental, or emotional level and close ourselves to new opportunities.
We may not even notice that we have braced ourselves against a shift until we recognize the anxiety, mood swings, or general worried feeling toward the unknown that usually results.
Every experience you go through has meaning. If you're not happy with the path you're on, make some changes.
Every day you're given a new hour, a new moment, a new opportunity to make new choices, so that you can move in a direction that will bring you joy. Forget the expectations that others have on you. Put yourself first, consider what YOU need, and make decisions that will move you closer to what you truly desire for yourself.
1. Freedom from the past, or anything else for that matter, always comes in the very instant you stop thinking about it.
2. Having what you want is a function of letting go of what you have.
3. Imagine that your dreams have already come true.
The very best moment in any long journey that makes your dreams come true, comes not on the day you realize they have, but on the day you realize how little they matter compared to loving the adventure they've inspired. - unknown
Each day, be more of the kind of person you want to fall in love with.
Our best friends are a warm refuge in which we feel free to be fully ourselves. Often we have to learn to treat OURSELVES in the kind and loving, and unconditional and forgiving way we treat those around us. It is only when we come back to ourselves, and seek the answers from within and stop searching for answers outsides of yourself will you be truly happy.
We give so much of ourselves in making others happy, trying to make others feel better and without any effort, we keep giving. You are only responsible for you. No one else. Remember to put yourself first and to be your own best friend. This will bring you back onto you path. You can only truly love others when you love yourself in the same way.
Sometimes sudden disruptive change is inevitable, and as painful as it may seem, we come through it a stronger and better person. No matter how disruptive things are at the moment, or if you feel life is really against you, re-evaluate and move on - often a new direction can bring new opportunities you never dreamed of.
